Topeka KS Mother, community volunteer, librarian, teacher Married 8 11 UC Davis, Bachelors in English, 1973; UC Berkeley, Secondary Teaching Credential, 1974; Univ. of Texas, Austin, Masters of Library Science, 1979 I have primarily been raising my eight wonderful children (who are now ages 23 to 40) and having fun with grandchildren. I have also been and continue to be very involved with my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (which I joined in 1974), our local schools and school district, and many community organizations in Topeka (where my husband and I have lived since 1979) that work on such issues as racial equity, interfaith understanding, poverty, recycling, and local history. Though never involved in music in high school, I have enjoyed for many years singing in a Gospel choir and playing drums in a small jazz band. I have done a lot of family history research and have been able to take some nice trips. Though there have been challenges along the way, I have been greatly blessed in my life and am very grateful! (After writing this summary, I just saw that other people just wrote a little bit. Sorry! Maybe classmates will write more now?) Don't know yet No 2018-05-11 12:14:34
First off, thank you so much for your initial and future planning and work on a 50th year reunion of our class!

I have a couple of thoughts related to reunion activities.  I really liked the informality and opportunities for visiting of our 2009 reunion at the reservoir.  I greatly prefer such an activity over a sitdown dinner, which, not only tends to be pricey, but also limits opportunities to visit with many people.

I don't know if anyone else would be interested, but I wonder if Rossmoor would give us a tour or let us roam around the parts of Del Valle that are now part of the Rossmoor campus.  Such a tour could bring back memories for us grads (and Rossmoor might view it as a marketing activity directed at future Rossmoor residents!)
